Why Attend Bible Classes?

To obey the scriptural command to study.  II Timothy 2:15; II Peter 1:5-11; II Peter 3:18; I Timothy 4:13; John 5:39; Colossians 3:16; I Peter 2:2; Matthew 4:4.

 

To imitate the first century church.  Acts 2:41-42; 17:11

 

To protect and maintain our good influence.  Matthew 5:13-16; II Corinthians 3:1-3; Romans 14:7.

 

To keep our affections in the right order.  Colossians 3:1-4; Matthew 6:33; I John 2:15-17.

 

To fortify our faith.  John 5:39; Romans 10:17

 

To guard and protect from error.  Acts 17:11; I Thessalonians 5:21; I John 4:1; Romans 16:17.

 

To keep us from sin.  I John 2:1; Psalm 19:11; Matthew 4:1-11.

 

To do battle with the enemy.  Ephesians 6:10-18; II Corinthians 10:3-5;

I Peter 5:8-9.

 

Because we love the truth.  II Thessalonians 2:10-12; John 17:17; John 8:31-32; Matthew 5:6.

 

To grow and go to heaven.  I Peter 2:1-2; Hebrews 5:12-6:1; Acts 20:32.

 

We shall be judged by the Bible.  John 12:48; Psalm 96:11-13; Romans 2:2; Revelation 20:10-12.
