Following the Crowd Can be Dangerous

Following the Crowd Can Be Dangerous By:  Ted Brown “Can the majority of people be wrong?”  Throughout history, following the crowd has often led to disaster.  Nations, kings, celebrities, etc.  It’s better to stand alone with God, than be in a crowd without Him.  Let’s look at some examples in Scripture when people foolishly went along with the majority. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh (mankind) had corrupted their way upon the earth....Continue reading

Atheist

ATHEIST By:  Randy Kea Let us briefly consider the absurdity of being an atheist. The Bible takes the position that God exists.  “In the beginning God . . . ” (Genesis 1:1).  “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son . . . ” (Hebrews 1:1-2).  “For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4).  “Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all...

Be Not Deceived

BE NOT DECEIVED By:  Randy Kea   Jesus said, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” (Matthew 24:4)  In Matthew 7:15 the Lord warned, “Beware of false prophets.”  He further instructed His disciples, “Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.” (Matthew 15:13) The apostle Paul would later write about those who would by their smooth words and flattering speech, “deceive the hearts of the simple.” (Romans 16:18).  John also warned that “many false prophets are gone out into the world.” (I John 4:1) The Bible speaks and warns of...

Changing the Way of God

CHANGING THE WAY OF GOD  By:  Randy Kea  God’s Way is Different Than Man’s God through the Old Testament prophet Isaiah makes the following declaration to his people: “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”  (Isa 55:7-8)  Man does not think like God thinks.  The only way man can know what...Continue reading

But They Have Not All Obeyed the Gospel

BUT THEY HAVE NOT ALL OBEYED THE GOSPEL By:  Randy Kea “But they have not all obeyed the Gospel” (Romans 10:16).  Why?  The Bible itself gives us insight as we try to deal with this question. Some apparently think they are “good enough” and do not need the saving power of the Gospel (Romans 1:16).  However, Paul affirms “All” (accountable) people are lost in sin (Romans 3:9, 19, 23). Secondly, some have believed and are following false doctrine, thinking that they are obeying God (Matthew 7:15, 21-23; Proverbs 16:25).  You cannot believe error and obey...
